Do you have a  little girl who just LOVES princesses? Has your princes loving little girl asked you to have a “princess cake” at her next birthday party?

For any “health conscious mommy” birthday parties are some of the most challenging times; and conflicting feelings can be overwhelming.

The great news is that you can have a festive “Princess Party” without buying a cake dripping with food coloring and white sugar.

After all if you go to most stores and order a “princess cake,” you will receive a brightly COVERED, beautiful cake with a rainbow of food dyes on them.

Please note, this is the SAME food coloring that is banned for sale in Europe and is believed to create attention  behavior problems in kids.

In addition, these brightly colored cakes have no whole grains in them (there is not anything to counteract the sugar) and they are loaded with white sugar making your entire party climb the walls and come crashing down irritably an hour later. Sound fun? Read More→

With over a billion people in the world who are overweight, do you want to know one skill that can help prevent your family from getting fat AND also help make your family healthier at the same time?

Lang said, “probably the single fastest way to reduce strokes in this country is to half the amount of salt that’s added to processed food. We also need to teach people basic cooking skills so they can turn fresh fruit and vegetables into things they want to eat.”

Last night I watched an interesting documentary that is available through Netflix called “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead.” I was amazed that most people interviewed in the documentary openly stated that they would rather be fat, sick and nearly dead than change their unhealthy eating lifestyle.

Is the power of the hamburger, the power of eating a greasy doughnut, or the power of fast food THAT powerful that it is worth giving up life for?

Isn’t this what drug addicts say? The drug takes over and means more than life itself. Have our unhealthy eating habits become like a drug?
