Health News-Food Dyes- March 30,2011

Today the Food and Drug Advisory committee is beginning their research on the behavioral affects that food dyes have on kids. This investigation came as a result of  the mounting evidence that food coloring has negative affects on children’s behavior and attention span.

Could it be that sugary processed foods have been solely blamed for kids being hyperactive, when in actuality it is the combination of white sugar and artificial food dyes that are making kids bounce off the walls?

March 11, 2011- San Francisco Chronicle- Cameron Scott  from “The Thin Green Line,” reported a very interesting story about a government robot testing for safety of additives. According Scott’s article,  of the 80,000 plus  chemicals and  that are found in drugs, foods and consumer products, a measly  13 percent of them are tested for safety in the United States.
